Top Sales for the Thames Wine Bar
In the last few months
wine sales at the Thames Bar have shot up by an incredible
116%. Asher Svirsky, food & beverage manager, attributes
the increase to a series of improvements introduced by
Waverley, including re-designing the bar to incorporate
the Rolls royce of wine preservers Le Verre de Vin.
Le Verre de Vin
system preserves Champagne, still and sparkling wines for
up to 21 days after the cork has been removed. It
eliminates wastage and ensures that the range of
wines-by-the-glass on offer is always served in prime
condition, Since installing Le Verre de Vin system in
September 1997 red wine sales have increased by 92%, white
wines by 71% and champagne by 100%.

Wines of
the World
Dear Dick,
Thank you for your
recent letter of congratulations on the launch of Wines of
the World. You will be happy to know that during the
initial 4 months of the program 60,000 glasses of wine
were sold. And all of them owe their quality and freshness
to Le Verre de Vin. We realised early on that to execute a
wine by the glass program with upscale wine, maintenance
of the wine quality would be a primary objective. That is
why we mandated your equipment as part of the program.
When we reviewed the
wine preservation equipment that was on the market we
found a number of our hotels had been using Le Verre de
Vin for some time and with no problems. That, combined
with the ability of your preservation system to eliminate
waste and insure profitability, was the reason we mandated
your product for use throughout our European Division. To
date I delieve we have only had one minor problem with a
carbon dioxide regulator which was quickly rectified. We
will soon be implementing wines of the World in our 2
Russian hotels and have no reservations on the use of your
system there. Apparently our Africa, Middle East Division
feels the same, having ordered 11 units for Addis Ababa.

The Best
System Ever Used
We have now had our Le Verre de
Vin system in place for almost two years and I have been
very impresses with the results. The system is the best
that I have ever used for maintaining wine quality. It has
been so effective, that we are now able to offer our
entire wine list by the individual glass.
The system is quite easy to use and maintain. I have spent
minimal time training employees on the machine (less than
5 minutes per person).
Furthermore, the unit has attracted much attention. Our
members are often asking about it, thus generating
interest in premium wines, leading to higher sales.
